The United Kingdom has supplied Ukraine with over 85,000 drones in the first six months of 2025 as part of its military aid, according to an official announcement from the UK government.
The initiative was made possible by the accelerated production of British companies and the support of jobs in both countries.
Defense Secretary John Healey highlighted that the £600 million investment this year allowed for the rapid delivery of drones to Ukrainian forces, including tens of thousands of FPV models, essential for precision operations on the battlefield. These equipment have been used for targeted strikes, reconnaissance, and intercepting Russian drones.
Last week, the UK also reported the early delivery of hundreds of Martlet missiles, reinforcing Ukraine’s air defense against Russian drone and missile attacks. Healey stated that the increased production of drones and the strengthening of NATO’s air defense are necessary responses to Russia’s military escalation in Ukraine and Europe.
